Staff Assistant

The Staff Assistant will work in many parts of the operation in direct support of senior staff. Work may include supporting client relationship management, developing marketing materials, interfacing with suppliers, clients, and staff. The  The Staff Assistant will perform a variety of functions all intended to build and maintain a culture of service, quality, and excellence including, but not limited to: telecommunications, purchasing of supplies, order processing, contract management, recruiting support, training support, payroll support, event support, document management, and other administrative tasks as needed.

The staff assistant shall have ample opportunity to grow with the company as it grows, and is an ideal position for some early in their food industry career.

  • Attention to detail and fervor in being thorough
  • Capacity to learn quickly and a willingness to be flexible when changes are needed
  • Personal accountability to your responsibilities and The Kitchen Coop team
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to author and follow written standard operating procedures

The following skills are desired:

  • Experience with customer relationship management (like Insightly) & project management systems (Wrike)
  • Basic online marketing experience
  • Strong writing skills

Hours ~40/week, onsite 7:30/8 to 5/5:30, with some flexibility day to day and week to week.

$15-19 per hour initially; transition to salary and bonus after 90 days.
