The holidays are the busiest shopping season of the year (online and offline) and you’re brand can gain traction and sales from social.
What’s possible? We’ve seen a lot of success with effectively executed social media campaigns around the holidays:
- One client increased web traffic by 76% in 30 days
- Another client increased weekend sales by $1500 per weekend
- A third client increased engagement from 8% to 30%–that was 30,000 people talking about the brand each week!!
So, how do you do it?
Targeting: Know who your message is going to. I recommend using your ideal target market. You might have secondary and tertiary markets but use your strongest first. In the Facebook Advertising panel, search their categories that most likely fit what you are selling. Their categories are the best I’ve seen: high online spenders, green moms, branded interests, moms with specific age children…. the list goes on.
Custom Audiences: In marketing, many of us focus heavily on acquiring new customers, but what if everyone of your current customers bought your product one more time? What would that do for your sales? For retention, creating a Custom Audience in Facebook is highly effective. You can upload your current list of customer email addresses into your Facebook Ad panel. When it is complete, you can market directly to that list of people who already know and love your brand.
Look a Like Audiences: Similar to Custom Audiences, a Look a Like Audience takes your current customer list and sources that top 1% of Facebook users that most closely matches your current list. Talk about a great way to find new, targeted customers!
Retargeting: Have you ever noticed that when you are shopping for something online but then leave the page without buying it that this item then shows up with you’re on Facebook? It’s called Ad Retargeting. Average website conversion rates are around 2%, but with retargeting some brands claim to have 50% to 60% conversion rates. Totally worth every penny for those results.
