Supply Chain Manager
How does the role fit?
The Supply Chain Manager (or SCM or “Coordinator” for short) plays a key role interfacing amongst our food brand clientele and their suppliers. The SCM helps maintain client relationships by coordinating regular activities and projects that keep the manufacturing operations running smoothly. The SCM is a critical member of our staff interacting with everyone and keeping everyone working together. As a coordinator, the role does not manage any direct reports, but does oversee warehouse activities. As a key member of our Services team, the SCM reports directly to the company President.
How would I contribute?
- Manage Clients from forecasting through invoicing to make sure that the company and Client have exactly what they need to collaborate
- Manage the on-boarding of new clients, new products, and product changes by shepherding Clients through our Roosting process for product commercialization and Hatching process for development.
- Interact with ingredient and packaging suppliers to find and certify new ingredients and packaging.
- Coordinate 3rd party certifications such as Non-GMO Project, GFCO, et al. that elevate public perception of our products.
- Help Client convert orders and forecasts into material plans for Purchasing to execute.
- Work through and to improve our Client Service processes to address special and ordinary requests
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc billing
- Assist in client acquisition by evaluating submissions from applicant brands.
- Work with the entire Staff to see that our tasks and orders are completed on-time and in the most professional manner.

Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree required. Master’s degree is desirable, but not required.
Experience: Minimum two-year experience in an outwardly facing, professional position. Minimum of 2 years in a purchasing or supply chain role interacting with outside vendors and logistics companies. Experience in project management is strongly preferred. Food industry experience is not required but strongly preferred.
Compensation: For the mid-level individual ideally suited to this role, salary will be $60-70k. For a more senior person, interested in a leadership track position, the possibilities exist for profit sharing and other mechanisms to fairly compensate a key contributor.
Desired Competencies:
- Ability to communicate professionally and knowledgeably with a wide range of people.
- Enjoyment teaching in plain terms the challenges of the supply chain and how planning and preparation cost less than outages; how consolidation and redundancy of suppliers affect performance.
- Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and get it all done on time.
- Ability to work as a team member or individually with minimal supervision guided by written procedures and oral instructions. Interest in making improvements and updating procedures as needed.
- Comfort with MS Office, especially Excel, as some spreadsheet work is handy to calculate demand for purchasing.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
- Experience with Wrike is a huge plus.

Food Manufacturing Lead
This critical role in our food production and packaging operations leads our associates to transform ingredients and packaging into delicious products. Food Manufacturing Leads are assigned primary responsibility for a product or set of products and are expected to stage materials, setup equipment, and prepare their team to execute consistently.
Our Leads supervise and work as part of teams of 3-9 to make breads, cookies, nut butters, snacks and treats. Our Leads are trained and then trusted to train other to operate production and packaging equipment. Because we work with so many different companies and products, you’re work will vary from week to week to keep things interesting and exciting. Leads report to a shift supervisor, who is there to assist with personnel and equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Food Manufacturing Associate
This multifaceted role in our food production and packaging operations works with our food manufacturers to transform ingredients and packaging into delicious products. Food Manufacturing Associates work with different food products on different days. We need some awesome workers to come help us grow our food manufacturing company as we take on some new and exciting product lines. Do you have food production experience? Are you responsible, fast and fun?
Our FMA’s are on the frontline making baked goods, snacks and nut butters. With a varied client base and new companies joining often, our FMA’s work on a variety of products. It isn’t the same work day in, day out, so FMA’s have to have a willingness to learn and adapt. Our FMA’s are trained and then trusted to operate scales, mixers, kettles, ovens, fillers, sealers, and packaging equipment.
FMA’s are eligible for paid time off, healthcare reimbursement, and bonuses after a 60 day probationary period. As FMA’s master additional equipment they can earn additional income by becoming Technicians or Manufacturing Leads. We are currently hiring for positions available for days (6am – 4:30pm). Warehouse Coordinator
Position Summary:
Responsible for safe and efficient movement and tracking of materials in to, out of, and within the facility. Responsible for tracking materials and staging materials and finished goods in association with production Responsible for basic facilities upkeep and common area sanitation.
Essential Job Duties:
- Receive Materials from carriers, document damages, lots received, and location.
- Keep Materials labeled and segregated by Allergen and by Client.
- Operate pallet jacks and reach truck
- Retrieve and stage materials for production
- Count storage utilization and inventory levels for billing and tracking purposes
- Operate in support of Production as a Utility Player:
- Set up and operate equipment as required.
- Operate packaging equipment and assemble packaging by hand.
- Weigh/measure out ingredients for production.
- Document your work ensuring compliance with SOPs.
- Perform equipment and facility sanitation procedures.
- Perform light maintenance on facility equipment
- Strictly adhere to sanitation and safety regulations for SQF and HACCP.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Communicate issues and important information to the appropriate person immediately.
- Adhere to company policies and core values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience in either manufacturing and/or warehousing.
Skill/Ability:
- Must be physically capable of performing all duties including lifting heavy items on a regular basis, standing for long periods of time, bending and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to accurately count and document inventory levels. Basic arithmetic is essential.
- Must be aware of all plant safety rules/procedures and be willing to follow and enforce them.
- Must be able to learn to use the equipment and tools to perform the job.
- Ability to learn and understand GMPs, SQF, and HACCP practices.
- Ability to meet attendance guidelines.
- Ability to follow written and oral procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually.
- Must be able to handle cold/hot/wet environments.
